(Springfield, MO – March 21, 2022) – Juanita K. Hammons Hall has announced an exciting collaboration between the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in celebration of the venue’s 30th anniversary. On Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 7:30pm, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils will be joined on the Hammons Hall stage by 50 Springfield Symphony Orchestra members for a unique concert experience. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, March 25,  and are available online at HammonsHall.com, by calling 417-836-7678, or in-person at the Hammons Hall box office (M-F 10am-5pm).

“We knew we wanted to do something big for our 30th Anniversary celebration. The Ozark Mountain Daredevils have been a staple of the southwest Missouri music scene for decades, and the Springfield Symphony has called our stage home since we opened our doors in 1992. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate 30 years than to bring these two groups together to create something Springfield has never seen or heard before,” said Keith Boaz, Executive Director of Juanita K. Hammons Hall.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a country rock band that formed in 1971. They have always been indefinable in terms of music genres, producing sounds of country-rock and electric bluegrass all on the same record, writing lyrics both whimsical and poetic, singing harmonies, and playing to sold-out crowds across the United States.

John Dillon, founding partner of the Daredevils, says the band is thrilled to be a part of the Hall’s anniversary. “It’s a great honor for our band to kick off the 30th Anniversary of Hammons Hall. We have been a fortunate group of individuals who have been able to share our music all over the world for 50 years. We are thrilled to share the stage with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, which will highlight the songs in a completely different light.”

The concert is a first for the Springfield Symphony and the Daredevils. “Part of the excitement of this collaboration is pairing these two groups together to create something we’ve never done before. I am looking forward to hearing our players with the iconic Daredevils – it is certainly something audiences won’t want to miss,” said Kyle Wiley-Pickett, Conductor and Music Director of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.

Hammons Hall 30th Anniversary Concert featuring the Ozark Mountain Daredevils with the Springfield Symphony will appear for one night only at Hammons Hall on Saturday, September 10 at 7:30pm.
