Get your groove on in this soulful tribute concert to Louis Armstrong featuring master Trumpeter Byron Stripling as he honors the great Jazz and Trumpet icon with arrangements of some Armstrong’s most memorable tunes including Honey- suckle Rose, Basin Street Blues, and What a Wonderful World. Stripling is a world- renowned Jazz artist, actor and singer, having played in the bands of Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Herman, Dave Brubeck, and Lionel Hampton. He has also performed with major orchestras including the Boston Pops and is heard in TV theme songs such as 20/20 and CNN. Inspired by his performance as the lead role in the Broadway musical Satchmo, Stripling will hypnotize young and old alike — we dare you not to hum along to these legendary tunes!
