Be awakened by the dreamy rhapsodies of Tripping the Light Fantasia, a concert showcasing a signature Symphony of the Romantic era, Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz; and the sublime, otherworldly Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis for Strings by Ralph Vaughan-Williams. Our soloist will be the 23-year-old Yeol Eum Son of Korea, the 2009 Silver Medalist from the most prestigious piano competition in the world: the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Son’s performance at the competition provoked Andrew Marton from the Star-Telegram to hail her as “an incendiary musician capable of muscular playing combined with heartbreaking moments of fluttering delicacy.” This November, find yourself mesmerized as the elegance of Son’s performance with the Symphony transports you to another world!
