Jan 16th, 2010 ~ 7:30 PM ~ Juanita K. Hammons Hall

Join us this January as we experience the rapturous vocals of prolific Baritone Jubilant Sykes singing Gospel selections and Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs. Sykes has collaborated with the finest orchestras and conductors in the world and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution was inspired to proclaim, “Jubilant Sykes’ voice is extraordinary. He isn’t merely an outstanding singer, his voice is art at its highest expression.” The concert will also include Aaron Copland’s ballet, Appalachian Spring, that he wrote for the world-famous Martha Graham Dance Company. This promises to be an enriching evening that will resonate with vibrant heritage and culture, leaving you breathless!Jubilant Sykes (BARITONE)
