Concert Information

For our 75th anniversary season we’re literally painting the town! Starting with the cover of this brochure — a painting of “yours truly” by master artist Brad Noble! Original works of art by area master artists have been created for each and every concert to help us celebrate our milestone and will be displayed at the concerts and around the community all season long! To kick things off we have invited two of the Symphony’s previous Music Directors, Apo Hsu and Charles Bontrager, to join me on the podium — literally! All three of us will conduct a specially commissioned fanfare by Carlyle Sharpe for the occasion. Continuing with the tradition of picking audience favorites and world-class guest artists, this season has something for everyone. Highlights include Carl Orff’s spectacular Carmina Burana, an incredible tribute to Jazz icon, Louis Armstrong, as well as a very special musical version of The Polar Express as part of our annual Holiday Pops concert. We are also one of the few orchestras in the world chosen to host the next Gold medalist of the renowned Van Cliburn International Piano Competition! Please join us by making your reservations now for what will truly be a season to celebrate! Musically, Ron Spigelman, Music Director Painting: Maestro by Brad Noble Oil on Canvas
